Recent opinion polls ahead of Sweden’s 13 September 2026 Riksdag election show the Social Democrats (S) maintaining a clear lead near 31 percent, with the Sweden Democrats (SD) holding second place around 20 percent and the Moderates (M) trailing in third near 17 percent. This ordering has remained stable across multiple surveys through mid-August, reflecting limited momentum shifts in the final month. The governing Tidö arrangement’s bloc trails the centre-left opposition in aggregated support, while smaller parties such as the Greens, Centre, and Left remain well behind the top three. Traders appear to view these polling patterns as the dominant driver of the implied probabilities for third place.
