This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the King Abdulaziz International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 22 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=oejn If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models from multiple sources show Jeddah's overnight low on September 22 expected near 28–30°C under clear skies, light winds, and stable high pressure around 1009 hPa.** This places the most likely minimum in the typical late-summer range for the Red Sea coast, where warm sea-surface temperatures and high humidity (often 55–70%) limit radiative cooling overnight. Historical September lows average 28–29°C, with diurnal swings of roughly 6–8°C under these conditions. The near-even split between “25°C or below” (48.5%) and “35°C or higher” (48.5%) in the market reflects trader focus on tail risks rather than the central forecast: an unusually strong nocturnal breeze or clearer, drier air could push the minimum lower, while persistent cloud cover, higher dew points, or weak onshore flow could keep it elevated. Specific buckets around 28–31°C carry lower implied probabilities because they align with the baseline expectation and offer less edge in a binary-style resolution. Upcoming model runs from agencies monitoring the region will clarify whether any subtle steering changes or moisture anomalies develop before the minimum is recorded.
