Recent Met Office and ensemble forecasts indicate a high-pressure system will deliver mostly sunny skies and light winds across London on September 21, supporting daytime maxima of 20–23 °C—well above the long-term average of roughly 19 °C. Model consensus favors a peak near 22–23 °C under clear to partly cloudy conditions, though slight variations in timing of any thin cloud or local urban heating introduce modest uncertainty in the exact hourly high. These stable synoptic conditions, following several days of similar benign weather, underpin trader emphasis on the 22 °C and 23 °C outcomes.
