**Marine layer and onshore flow are anchoring overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 60s across Los Angeles on September 20, 2026.** Official forecasts from sources including the National Weather Service and model guidance (GFS) consistently project a minimum near 64–68 °F under cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, with patchy fog after midnight and light southwest winds. This aligns with the climatological average low of ~63 °F for the date and recent observations showing similar readings (mid-60s) amid a stable late-summer pattern. No strong cold-air advection or offshore winds are indicated that would push temperatures into the 50s, while the absence of a pronounced heat ridge keeps values from climbing above the low 70s. Model consensus remains tight, with limited spread in guidance runs, supporting trader emphasis on the 68–69 °F bin as the most probable outcome. The market-implied probabilities reflect this consensus, tempered by the inherent range in microclimate stations and the final 24-hour observational window. Updated NWS briefings and real-time LAX or downtown readings will provide the decisive data for resolution.
