Argentina’s ongoing disinflation under President Milei’s fiscal austerity and exchange-rate band adjustments continues to anchor trader expectations for August 2026 monthly CPI. July’s 2.1% reading, up modestly from June’s 1.9% amid winter seasonal effects yet still near recent lows, reinforces the 1.8-2.0% interval as the market’s clearest consensus at 55.2% implied probability. Broader annual forecasts have edged lower to around 29-30% for year-end 2026, reflecting sustained primary surpluses and contained pass-through from recent peso movements. With the August print due mid-September, the 1.5-1.7% and 2.1-2.3% bands capture residual uncertainty around seasonal and regulated-price components, while tail outcomes remain lightly priced given the absence of fresh shocks.
