In the ATP Challenger Mexico City on red clay at high altitude, higher-ranked Luka Pavlovic (No. 200) faces Aidan Mayo (No. 674) in the second round—their first head-to-head. Pavlovic, runner-up here last year and defending 64 points, grinded past Facundo Mena 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-2 in the opener, relying on his big serve amid erratic play. Mayo, showing momentum from quarters at the M25 Las Vegas, upset Dan Martin 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(2) yesterday. Altitude amplifies serves and errors; Pavlovic's clay experience and ranking provide edge, though Mayo's recent resilience and stability suggest upset potential in a tight matchup.
