Florida's 12th congressional district remains a solidly Republican seat, with incumbent Gus Bilirakis seeking re-election in the November 2026 general election after securing 71% in 2024. The district's partisan voting index and recent redistricting continue to favor Republican candidates, supporting the current trader consensus on party outcomes. Primaries are scheduled for August 18, 2026, following the June 12 filing deadline, with Bilirakis facing limited primary opposition while Democrats advance from a contested primary between Darren McAuley and Kimberly Overman. No major shifts in candidate field, polling, or local developments have altered the competitive landscape in recent weeks.
