Persistent high-pressure ridging and southerly flow are sustaining hot, mostly sunny conditions across North Texas, with official National Weather Service and model guidance converging on a daily maximum of 99–101°F for Dallas on August 31. This places the market’s leading 98–99°F and 100–101°F bins in close alignment with the current forecast consensus. Light south winds, dew points in the upper 60s, and minimal cloud cover support efficient daytime heating, though slight variations in boundary-layer mixing or timing of any late-day moisture could shift the exact peak by a degree or two. Historical late-August averages near 94°F underscore the current anomaly, while the absence of incoming fronts keeps odds stable ahead of the final model runs.
