Recent forecast model runs from the Finnish Meteorological Institute and ECMWF consensus indicate a mild southwesterly flow over southern Finland on September 8, supporting daytime highs near 17–19 °C in Helsinki amid increasing cloud cover and light rain chances. This positions 18 °C as the market leader at 45 % implied probability, modestly above the long-term average of roughly 16.7 °C for the date, while cooler 17 °C and warmer 19 °C outcomes capture the remaining spread from minor model differences in timing of a frontal passage. No strong high-pressure ridge or Arctic outbreak is expected to shift extremes outside this narrow band before resolution.
