Latest ensemble forecasts from global and regional models converge on a daily maximum near 30°C for Shanghai on September 6, supported by northerly flow and increasing cloud cover that limits daytime heating after recent 31–32°C readings. Light showers forecast for the period add further moderation, consistent with the typical early-September transition toward cooler conditions as the East Asian monsoon wanes. Historical September highs average around 28°C, yet interannual variability and model spread leave room for 29°C or 31°C outcomes. Updated China Meteorological Administration guidance and final model runs ahead of the date remain the key variables for traders assessing these market-implied probabilities.
