Current forecasts from agencies including the Japan Meteorological Agency and multiple models show a high of 23–24 °C in Tokyo on September 6, driven by persistent cloud cover, widespread rain, and northerly winds associated with a frontal system that is suppressing daytime heating. These conditions depart from typical early-September climatology near 28–29 °C and align with the market’s heaviest weighting on 24 °C (36.5 %) and 25 °C (23.0 %), followed by 23 °C (15.5 %). Model consensus remains tight on the cool, wet pattern through the weekend, though small timing shifts in rainfall or wind could alter the precise daily maximum by 1 °C. Traders appear to be pricing this near-term forecast stability while acknowledging residual uncertainty in the final observed peak.
