Recent forecasts from models including GFS and local analyses indicate a daily maximum near 30–31°C for Karachi on September 3, driven by persistent southwesterly monsoon flow, elevated humidity near 65–80%, and partial cloud cover that limits peak solar heating. The city’s coastal location and sea-breeze circulation further moderate extremes, consistent with climatological norms of 27–31°C highs rarely exceeding 33°C in early September. Current conditions on September 1 show similar readings around 30°C with no heat-wave signals or major synoptic shifts, supporting the market’s heaviest weighting on 31°C (50%) and adjacent 30–32°C outcomes while keeping tails below 10% probability. Updated model runs and Pakistan Meteorological Department briefings over the next 48 hours remain the key near-term catalysts.
