Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate Atlanta will remain under strong high pressure with light southeast winds and mostly sunny skies on September 3, favoring rapid daytime heating from already elevated soil and air temperatures following 95–98 °F readings on September 1–2. Ensemble forecasts cluster daily maxima in the mid-90s, near or slightly above the 86 °F climatological average and the 95 °F date record, with minimal cloud cover or precipitation expected to limit cooling. Trader positioning around 94–97 °F reflects this consensus while acknowledging small uncertainties in boundary-layer moisture and exact steering that could nudge readings a degree or two higher or lower. Updated model runs and official forecasts issued over the next 24–48 hours will provide the clearest signal ahead of market resolution.
