Current numerical weather prediction models, including runs from ECMWF and regional Italian services, show a consensus maximum near 32–33°C for Milan on September 7 under stable high pressure, light southerly winds, and minimal cloud cover. This setup favors the market's leading 32°C implied probability of 44 percent, with 31°C and 33°C as close alternatives. Persistent warm advection from the south has kept recent daytime highs 6–8°C above the September climatological average of 24–26°C, supporting elevated but not extreme outcomes. Updated model guidance and official bulletins from ARPA Lombardia over the next 48 hours remain the key variables that could shift these trader-implied odds.
