Persistent dry conditions under the prevailing southwest monsoon have elevated daytime heating across Singapore, with the Meteorological Service Singapore forecasting maximum temperatures of 33–35°C on most days through mid-September and the potential to exceed 35°C. Short-range model consensus for September 5 points to partly cloudy skies and light southeasterly winds, supporting afternoon highs near 32–34°C at Changi, consistent with the 31.6°C September climatological average but above recent cooler, wetter periods. Limited cloud cover and low rainfall probability favor the market's strong preference for 33°C, while any localized thundery showers or increased haze could cap peaks closer to 32°C.
