This market will resolve based on the highest temperature recorded in the 'Daily Observations' table on Weather Underground, not the figure displayed in the 'Day High & Low' summary section; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Daily Observations table shall be the primary resolution source not the Day High & Low section. This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 23 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/cn/qingdao/ZSQD. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent rain and cloud cover from a warm, moist air mass associated with the subtropical high are capping daytime highs in coastal Qingdao, keeping the August 23 maximum most likely in the 28–31 °C range.** Official and ensemble forecasts from multiple sources converge on a high of 28–30 °C under partly to mostly cloudy skies with periods of light to moderate rain or thunderstorms, especially in the morning and afternoon. Easterly to southeasterly winds of 3–5 m/s (locally gustier) draw cooler marine air from the Yellow Sea, while high humidity (often >80 %) and evaporative cooling from precipitation further suppress peak readings. Model-to-model differences in the timing and intensity of showers create the tight clustering of market probabilities around 29–31 °C: stronger or earlier rain favors 29 °C or below, while any temporary breaks in cloud cover could allow brief warming to 31 °C. Higher outcomes (32 °C+) remain unlikely without substantial clearing, which current guidance does not support. The coastal setting and ongoing precipitation regime therefore anchor trader consensus near the middle of the narrow forecast envelope.
