Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to a high of 64–66°F in Seattle on September 23, driven by increasing onshore flow and a weak trough off the Pacific Northwest that favors marine air advection and persistent cloud cover. This setup limits daytime solar heating relative to the clearer, warmer conditions observed on September 21–22. Forecast spread centers on the exact degree of afternoon clearing and any light drizzle timing, with higher outcomes (68–69°F) possible under reduced cloud cover and lower ones (64–65°F) if marine stratus lingers. Historical September climatology shows typical highs near 70°F, but the current pattern aligns with cooler anomalies favored in the 6–10 day outlook. Updated model runs and NWS briefings ahead of the event remain the key near-term catalysts for market movement.
