**Clear skies and light winds overnight are the main drivers behind current market-implied odds for Beijing’s September 14 low temperature.** Official and model guidance, including GFS-based forecasts, point to radiational cooling under dry conditions with minimal cloud cover, supporting lows clustered around 14–17°C—near the 1991–2020 climatological average of 16.4°C. This aligns with the elevated probabilities on the 15°C, 16°C, and 17°C outcomes. The 19°C-or-higher bucket’s leading 46.5% share reflects some model spread and the possibility of slightly milder boundary-layer temperatures if winds remain light but not perfectly calm. No significant cold-air advection or frontal passage is expected in the next 24 hours, keeping probabilities for single-digit or sub-12°C readings very low. The market will resolve on official overnight minimum observations from Beijing stations.
