Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate Seattle’s overnight low on August 29 will likely settle in the mid-50s °F, driven by increasing cloud cover, scattered showers, and light southerly winds ahead of a weak frontal system. These conditions limit radiational cooling compared with clear nights while marine air moderates extremes, aligning with the climatological average low near 56 °F. Trader sentiment clusters tightly around the 54–57 °F bins because forecast timing of precipitation and exact dew-point trajectories remain uncertain within a few degrees; the 30 % probability assigned to 47 °F or below reflects outlier cooler model runs that have not yet materialized in consensus guidance. Updated National Weather Service and private model runs expected overnight will refine the minimum.
