Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Slovenia on March 22, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially elected by the National Assembly (Državni zbor) and sworn in as Prime Minister of Slovenia following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Slovenia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Following Slovenia's razor-thin March 22 parliamentary elections, which produced a hung parliament with Robert Golob's Freedom Movement securing a plurality of 29 seats but no governing majority, trader consensus heavily favors Janez Janša at 74% implied probability to become next prime minister amid center-right coalition momentum. The Slovenian Democratic Party leader's strong positioning stems from his party's near-top vote share, prior experience as three-time premier, and recent unity signals, including the center-right bloc's election of Zoran Stevanović as National Assembly speaker on April 11 using cross-party votes from SDS, New Slovenia (led by Jernej Vrtovec), and Democrats (Anže Logar). President Nataša Pirc Musar is expected to issue the first mandate soon, with failure likely shifting to Janša; Golob's low odds reflect stalled broad coalition talks and lost prior allies.
