Mees Rottgering, the 19-year-old Dutch left-hander ranked around No. 469 with a career-high ATP singles mark of 416, enters this M25 Louisville first-round match with stronger ITF futures results this season, including multiple wins on hard courts. Russell Lokko, a 21-year-old American and University of Louisville player receiving a wildcard, competes primarily at lower UTR and collegiate levels with limited professional results. The hard-court surface favors Rottgering’s experience in similar conditions, though Lokko may draw local support and familiarity with the venue.
