This market will resolve according to the winner of the Democratic Primary for Governor of Kansas, scheduled to take place on August 4, 2026. Resolution will be based on the overall winner of the primary, including any potential second round or run-off. If no 2026 Kansas Gubernatorial Democratic Primary takes place, this market will resolve to “Other.” The resolution source for this market will be the first official announcement of the results from the Kansas Democratic Party; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may suffice.Cindy Holscher holds a commanding lead in the August 4 Kansas Democratic primary for governor, driven by her status as the first major candidate to announce in 2025, consistent polling advantages, and high-profile endorsements including from the Kansas City Star and former Governor John Carlin. As a state senator from Johnson County with legislative experience on affordability, property taxes, healthcare, housing, and cannabis legalization, she has consolidated support ahead of rivals Ethan Corson and Curt Skoog. Recent debates highlighted shared Democratic priorities but did not shift the frontrunner dynamic. With the primary only days away, late developments such as turnout surges or unforeseen events could still alter the outcome, though the current trader consensus reflects her structural advantages in name recognition and organization.
