Recent Léger polling shows the Parti Québécois leading at around 30 percent, while the CAQ and PLQ remain tied near 23 percent for second place ahead of the October 5 vote, with the PCQ at 16 percent and QS trailing. The race for runner-up status stays tightly contested because federalist voters remain split between the CAQ under new leader Christine Fréchette and the PLQ under Charles Milliard, while francophone support shows volatility and second-choice preferences are dispersed across multiple parties. Recent shifts, including the CAQ’s modest gains at QS expense, underscore how small movements in undecided voters or regional turnout could alter the final order without changing the PQ’s frontrunner position. The official campaign launch and any late adjustments in voter consolidation will likely determine which party secures the second-highest seat total in the National Assembly.
