No official play has begun ahead of Thursday's first round, leaving odds balanced by a deep 91-player field led by favorites Scottie Scheffler (+500), Jon Rahm (+950), and Rory McIlroy, whose precision approach play elevates ace potential amid modern equipment trends. Recent precedents like three aces in 2025 underpin yes sentiment, but firm winds or rain could suppress trajectories and tip toward no; conversely, calm conditions or hot irons on 16 might surge yes sharply.
