If multiple teams tie for bottom of the group, this market will resolve according to the official tiebreak procedure of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If the World Cup group stage is cancelled, postponed after July 11, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no bottom-place team declared for this group within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA (https://www.fifa.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Curaçao enters its first World Cup as the clear underdog in Group E against Germany, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador, driving the market’s strong consensus on last place. The Caribbean side’s FIFA ranking near 82nd, limited international pedigree, and opening 7-1 defeat to Germany highlight a significant gap in squad depth and recent form compared with opponents who boast deeper tournament experience and stronger attacking records. Ivory Coast and Ecuador sit higher in the table after their opening fixtures, further reinforcing the gap. While an improbable run of results—such as multiple upsets or points from the remaining matches—could theoretically shift outcomes, the disparity in resources and preparation makes such scenarios unlikely according to current trader pricing.
