Official forecasts from sources including the South African Weather Service and international models indicate a maximum of 18–19°C in Cape Town on September 17 under clear skies, moderate southeasterly winds of 25–40 km/h, and negligible precipitation. These conditions favor steady daytime warming from morning lows near 12°C, with ocean moderation and typical spring wind patterns limiting further rise. Recent model runs show high consistency after earlier clearing, aligning trader-implied probabilities heavily toward 19°C (59.5%) and 18°C (28.0%), while lower odds for 20°C or above reflect limited upside potential absent unexpected warming. Historical September averages near 18°C provide additional context for the narrow outcome range.
