**Trader consensus heavily favors a 72-73°F high in San Francisco on September 15, 2026, at 99.9% implied probability, aligning closely with the long-term average daily maximum of roughly 71°F for mid-September.** Official observations from National Weather Service stations, including downtown and airport sites, reflect typical late-summer marine layer influence that moderates temperatures through onshore flow and cloud cover, preventing significant warming. Recent model runs and surface analyses showed no strong offshore flow or upper-level ridging that would drive anomalous heat, keeping conditions near climatological norms. This outcome matches historical patterns where September highs rarely deviate sharply without clear synoptic drivers. Realistic challenges include an unexpected late-day wind shift or revised station data, though such revisions are uncommon once preliminary reports stabilize.
