Official forecasts from the National Weather Service project a high near 91°F for Houston on September 26 under partly sunny skies with a 20% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. Persistent high pressure has sustained mid-90s readings in recent days, but increasing cloud cover, easterly flow, and modest moisture return are expected to cap peaks slightly below those levels. Trader consensus, with the tightest implied probabilities clustered on 88–93°F outcomes, reflects this balance between residual warmth, boundary-layer humidity, and convective timing that could trim the daily maximum by a degree or two. Updated model runs and local observations over the next 48 hours remain the key variables.
