Recent National Weather Service observations and forecast guidance for Los Angeles show daily highs near 76–78°F through early September, consistent with the climatological average high of 76.5°F for September 6. Marine layer influence and a 50% chance of showers or thunderstorms on the 6th are expected to limit daytime heating and prevent significant warming, keeping maximum temperatures centered around 78°F at official stations such as LAX. Model consensus supports this range without strong offshore flow or heat advection that could push readings into the low 80s. Market-implied probabilities, with 78–79°F as the clear leader, reflect trader assessment of these stable coastal conditions and the low likelihood of extremes given the current pattern.
