Recent National Weather Service and NOAA forecasts for San Francisco on September 18, 2026, indicate a high near 67–69°F under a strengthening marine layer and onshore westerly flow that limits afternoon warming, consistent with typical late-summer coastal moderation. Official observations at SFO show morning readings around 60°F with dew points near 55–57°F and light to moderate west winds, supporting limited inland heating. This setup aligns with climatological September averages near 70–75°F but reflects cooler-than-normal conditions driven by persistent stratus and sea-breeze effects. Trader consensus favoring 70–71°F (41%) and 72–73°F (26.5%) over 68–69°F (23.5%) reflects uncertainty in exact peak timing and microclimate differences between downtown and airport stations, with resolution depending on the official daily maximum reported by NWS.
