**Persistent cloud cover, widespread rain, and a post-frontal wind shift to the northeast are the main drivers keeping the market focused on the 62–67°F range for NYC’s September 20 minimum.** Official NWS guidance and ensemble output indicate the daily low will occur Sunday night as showers taper, with temperatures bottoming out near 60–62°F under increasing northeasterly flow that advects cooler marine air. Earlier model runs had allowed for slightly milder overnight readings around 64–65°F if clouds broke sooner, which explains the tight clustering between the top two bins. Traders are weighting the stronger consensus for a 60–62°F outcome against lingering uncertainty in exact rainfall timing and boundary-layer mixing, with resolution hinging on the final observed minimum at Central Park. Updated NWS forecasts tonight will provide the next key data point before the overnight period begins.
