Current forecast models from agencies including MetService and international guidance indicate a maximum temperature of 15°C in Wellington on September 20, supported by partly cloudy conditions, brisk northerly winds, and limited cloud cover that allows modest daytime warming during early spring. This aligns with climatological norms for mid-September highs near 12–14°C while reflecting recent model consensus on light precipitation chances and stable atmospheric patterns. Trader positioning at 97.5% implied probability for 15°C incorporates the narrow uncertainty range typical of short-range forecasts, though a modest shift in steering winds or unexpected marine layer development could still produce a 14°C or 16°C outcome before official observations finalize the daily high.
