The IPO refers to the first sale of stock by the listed company to the public on any recognized stock exchange. If the listed company undergoes a merger, this will only qualify for a “No” resolution if the transaction results in the listed company being fully absorbed, dissolved, or otherwise no longer capable of independently conducting an Initial Public Offering. Transactions in which the listed company continues as a parent or successor will not alone qualify for a “No” resolution. This market will resolve early if the listed company completes an IPO by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. The resolution source for this market is a consensus of credible reporting.Strong IPO momentum in 2026, with U.S. issuers raising more than $114 billion through June—over seven times the prior-year pace—reflects supportive equity valuations, expectations for lower interest rates, and anticipated SEC deregulation. Weekly pricings have accelerated into late July, including multiple deals across healthcare and consumer sectors, while major filings from SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI signal sustained pipeline depth. These conditions, combined with broad sector participation and first-half proceeds already nearing historic levels, underpin near-certain market-implied odds that additional IPOs will price before year-end. Traders will monitor FOMC signals, Treasury yields, and any late-2026 regulatory shifts for potential volatility around remaining listings.
