Recent AtlasIntel polling shows a technical tie among four leading contenders—incumbent Styvenson Valentim (Podemos), Samanda Alves (PT), Coronel Hélio (PL), and Rafael Motta (PDT)—for the two Rio Grande do Norte Senate seats, with Zenaide Maia (PSD) also within the margin of error. This fragmentation, combined with 13 registered candidates after party conventions, keeps second-place probabilities closely balanced as voters split preferences across parties. The open contest for the second vacancy, absent a dominant frontrunner, sustains trader uncertainty reflected in the market. Late-campaign shifts in turnout among key blocs, additional polling releases before the October 2026 first round, or clearer consolidation around one challenger could separate outcomes.
