In the open Rio Grande do Sul Senate race for two seats on October 4, 2026, trader consensus reflects a fragmented field with no dominant frontrunner, as early polls show technical ties among multiple contenders including Manuela D'Ávila, Paulo Pimenta, Germano Rigotto, Marcel Van Hattem, and Ubiratan Sanderson. Recent pre-candidacy announcements, party conventions, and a July Quaest survey highlighting high undecided voters have kept implied probabilities clustered, underscoring uncertainty over coalition formations and turnout patterns in this incumbent-free contest. Developments such as formal alliances, additional state-level polling, or shifts in national political momentum could consolidate support and create clearer separation among the top candidates.
