This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Texas, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Collin County.James Talarico holds a strong implied probability of carrying Collin County in the 2026 Texas U.S. Senate election due to suburban demographic shifts and his polling performance among independents and Hispanic voters in the broader race against Ken Paxton. Collin County, Paxton's political origin and a long-time Republican stronghold, has emerged as a focal point amid rapid population growth and changing voter patterns in North Texas suburbs. Recent campaign activity includes Talarico rallies drawing large crowds there, while statewide surveys through August 2026 show the contest rated as a toss-up or lean Republican by forecasters, with Talarico maintaining fundraising and organizational edges. Minor candidates and write-ins remain available on the November 3 ballot but trail significantly in reported support.
