Incumbent Jim Diodati holds an 83.5% implied probability in the Niagara Falls, Ontario mayoral race due to his record since 2010 and established platform priorities around housing expansion, a new regional hospital, road infrastructure, and physician recruitment ahead of the October 26, 2026 municipal vote. Nominations closed August 21 with five certified candidates, including city councillor Lori Lococo at 8.5% after her late entry prompted some vote-splitting adjustments among other hopefuls. Challengers Paul Manning, Kevin Martineau, and Michael Lucid register at 4.9%, 3.0%, and 0.3% respectively, reflecting limited reported momentum or name recognition compared to the sitting mayor's incumbency advantages in local municipal elections. Trader positioning aligns with Diodati's repeated re-election history and recent campaign commitments to continuity on tourism and development files.
