The primary driver of current trader positioning remains the April 29 Q1 2026 report, which delivered revenue of $56.31 billion (up 33% year-over-year) and adjusted EPS well above consensus, fueled by robust Family of Apps advertising growth. However, the stock fell sharply as management raised full-year capital expenditure guidance to $125–145 billion to fund AI infrastructure, highlighting near-term margin pressure despite strong operating cash flow. Analyst consensus price targets cluster above $800, reflecting expectations for continued revenue expansion, though elevated spending and macroeconomic sensitivity to ad budgets remain key swing factors heading into the next quarterly update.
