Official National Weather Service forecasts for New York City on September 11 project a high near 81°F under partly sunny skies with northwest winds around 7 mph, aligning with the market's leading 80-81°F outcome at 55% implied probability. This reflects cooling after September 10 highs reached the upper 80s, as a post-frontal air mass moderates temperatures below recent levels. Consensus across multiple models supports a low-80s peak, though minor timing shifts in clearing or wind strength could nudge readings into the 78-79°F or 82-83°F bins. Historical September 11 averages near 78°F provide context, with resolution hinging on official Central Park observations.
