**Trader consensus at 100% for a 70-71°F high on September 12, 2026, reflects official station observations confirming that range as the daily maximum.** San Francisco’s September climatology features an average high near 70.7°F, with marine-layer moderation and onshore westerly flow typically capping peaks in the upper 60s to low 70s absent strong offshore warming. Recent model guidance and surface analyses aligned closely with this outcome, showing no anomalous heat advection or clear-sky amplification that would push readings into the mid-70s or higher. The 0.1% odds on all other bins indicate traders view the recorded value as definitive once quality-controlled data from primary NOAA or NWS stations are released. Realistic challenges remain limited but include potential station-specific microclimate differences, late revisions to preliminary observations, or resolution criteria tied to a precise reporting location rather than the city-wide high.
