Official forecasts from Singapore's Meteorological Service indicate a 33°C high for September 23 amid prevailing southwest monsoon conditions, with localized thundery showers expected from late morning onward that could limit afternoon heating through cloud cover and evaporative cooling. Recent observations show September maxima averaging near 31–32°C but reaching 34–35°C on clearer days, while model guidance varies slightly between 31–34°C depending on shower timing and intensity. The near-even market split between 32°C and 33°C reflects this uncertainty in whether convection suppresses the peak below the official outlook or allows brief warming to the higher threshold before rain develops.
