Sixth seed Alex Bolt holds a commanding 3-0 head-to-head edge over Rio Noguchi, with all prior meetings on hard courts, positioning trader consensus toward the Australian in this ATP Challenger Busan quarterfinal on outdoor hard. Bolt advanced with gritty wins over James McCabe (7-5, 7-6) and qualifier Tung-Lin Wu (4-6, 6-4, 7-6) in the last two rounds, showcasing resilience in tiebreaks and deciders. Noguchi, meanwhile, delivered a stunning upset over fourth seed Coleman Wong (6-2, 6-2) on Wednesday, riding momentum from recent Challenger deep runs. No injuries reported; Bolt's higher ranking (around 154 vs. Noguchi's 215) and surface familiarity factor prominently ahead of Thursday's late-night matchup.
