The 23-year-old Italian's experience on the Monte-Carlo clay edges trader consensus toward him, though 21-year-old qualifier Blockx arrives with momentum from upsetting Denis Shapovalov 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in the opener and navigating qualies successfully, marking his biggest Masters 1000 win yet despite a no head-to-head history. No injury concerns linger for either after early-2026 ailments, but Blockx's relative inexperience on this demanding surface tempers upset potential amid variable spring weather.
