Leandro Riedi (ATP No. 168, No. 8 seed) holds a slight ranking edge over Pavel Kotov (No. 262) in their Busan Challenger Round of 16 clash on outdoor hard courts, where Riedi leads their head-to-head 1-0 from a 2023 Karlsruhe Challenger clay win—their first meeting on hard. Both advanced comfortably in Round of 32: Riedi edged local favorite Soonwoo Kwon 7-6(2), 6-4 on April 15, while Kotov forced Yi Zhou's retirement at 6-1, 2-0 the prior day. Modest 2026 form defines the matchup—Riedi with a Pau Challenger quarterfinal and steady hard-court results, Kotov showing flashes in lower-tier events like Wuning. No reported injuries, but Kotov's recent retirement wins raise minor fitness questions amid baseline-friendly conditions.
