In the Barcelona Open quarterfinals on clay, No. 88 Hamad Medjedovic rides massive momentum from upsetting third seed Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4 in the round of 16—his biggest career win and a breakthrough on the surface where he recently claimed a Challenger title in Napoli. No. 52 Nuno Borges advanced steadily, defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry with a match-point underarm serve that drew crowd boos, building on his career 25-27 ATP clay record versus Medjedovic's 10-16. With no head-to-head history, traders weigh Borges' higher ranking and experience against the 22-year-old Serb's hot streak in this first-time matchup on outdoor courts.
