Hamad Medjedovic rides high into the Barcelona Open quarterfinals after upsetting third seed Alex de Minaur in straight sets during the second round on clay, showcasing improved baseline grinding and serving under pressure despite his No. 88 ranking and modest 3-5 ATP YTD record. Nuno Borges, ranked No. 52 with a stronger career clay mark of 25-22 at ATP level, advanced by defeating Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the last 16, rebounding from a first-round Monte-Carlo exit to Andrey Rublev. With no head-to-head history, traders weigh Medjedovic's fresh momentum against Borges' experience and higher seeding on the outdoor clay at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona, where mild spring weather poses no delays.
