In the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell quarterfinals on clay, seventh seed Cameron Norrie (world No. 24) faces rising Spaniard Rafael Jodar (No. 55), who leads their head-to-head 1-0 after a straight-sets upset win over Norrie on hard courts in February 2026. Jodar, a 19-year-old wild card playing home-soil favorites, rides an eight-match ATP winning streak, including a recent defeat of Camilo Ugo Carabelli to reach this stage. Norrie advanced with gritty three-set victories over Stan Wawrinka and Ethan Quinn, showcasing resilience despite a second-round clay loss to Alex de Minaur in Monte Carlo last week. Home crowd support and Jodar's momentum fuel upset potential against Norrie's higher ranking, left-handed baseline game, and clay experience, with no reported injuries for either.
