In the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell qualifying final on clay, No. 76 Marco Trungelliti enters with surging momentum after reaching the Marrakech ATP final last week as a 36-year-old qualifier, propelling him to a career-high ranking and showcasing sharp clay form with deep runs. Challenger specialist Pedro Martinez, ranked No. 119, counters with a 2-1 head-to-head edge, including a recent clay victory, and advanced past Pablo Carreno Busta via retirement in his opener. Home-crowd support on Pista Rafa Nadal favors the Spaniard, though Trungelliti's fresher legs post-bye could test Martinez's consistency in this best-of-three-sets matchup amid mild Barcelona spring conditions.
