Recent National Weather Service guidance points to mostly sunny conditions with a 40% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms for Atlanta on August 26, supporting model highs near 93°F but with potential cooling as convection develops after 2pm. This uncertainty over storm timing and intensity—driven by high humidity, southerly flow, and typical late-August instability—explains the tight clustering of trader probabilities across the 88–93°F bins. Morning radiative heating under clear skies could push readings into the low 90s before any rain or cloud cover arrives, while stronger or earlier storms would favor the lower end of the range. Official forecasts remain the primary input for market participants assessing these thresholds.
