Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Los Angeles on September 9 point to a high near 90°F under sunny conditions, with the marine layer and afternoon sea breezes likely capping inland warming and keeping coastal readings in the upper 80s to low 90s. Model consensus shows limited disagreement on steering patterns and onshore flow strength, which could shift the peak by a degree or two and explain the near-even market split between the 88-89°F and 90-91°F bins. A heat advisory remains in effect through Thursday amid temperatures 10–15°F above seasonal normals, though any increase in cloud cover or earlier breeze onset could trim the maximum. Updated model runs and the next NWS briefing will provide the clearest signals before resolution.
